:(1) A man and a woman who want to get married by registration according to the Act must submit a joint application in the form of Schedule-1 to the Marriage Officer within the time limit specified in the Act.
(2) After receiving the application according to sub-rule (1), the marriage officer should register the application in the marriage application book of the format specified in Schedule 2.
(3) After registering the application according to sub-rule (2), if the marriage officer refuses to perform the marriage because the proposed marriage is contrary to the prevailing Nepalese law, the reasons for refusal shall be given to the parties within seven days of the registration of the open application. should
